The parish defibrillator is situated on the outside of the Gait Inn.
It is registered on the national database 'The Circuit' which is a national database funded by the British Heart Foundation.
Features of The Circuit
- The Circuit links with the 999 emergency system at Yorkshire Ambulance Service which means that once the CPAD is activated to an incident it will be switched off and the nominated custodian will be immediately notified and asked to check the defibrillator and make sure that it is ready to be switched back on.
- A dedicated portal which shows any CPAD the PC is responsible for and information such as when the CPAD was last activated and when the pads expire.
- The nominated custodian will receive email notifications when the CPAD has been activated and when the pads are due to expire.
